Former board member, two newcomers in the lead for three seats on Old Bridge Board of Education

There were elections for the three, three-year terms available on the Old Bridge Board of Education on Nov. 2. The seven candidates include three incumbents, Salvatore DiPrima, Richard J. Dunn and Kelly Ellis-Foster; former board member Lisa Lent; and three newcomers, Darin Accettulli, Leonardo Marchetta and Jay D. Slade. As of press time on Nov. 4, Lent, with 5,542 votes, Marchetta, with 5,384 votes, and Slade, with 5,372 votes, are in the lead. Read more here

From the original seven candidates vying for the three seats available on Old Bridge Board of Education, the competition seems moving to only Lisa Lent, Leonardo Marchetta, and Jay Slade. Other hopeful candidates are Darin Accettulli who is seeking for his first term, Salvatore DiPrima, a branch operator manager in the financial service industry, Richard Dunn, a senior vice president in a real estate company, and Kelly Ellis-Foster, a retired communications director. While the results of the election are not yet finalized, the voice of the people seems to be clear at this point. It’s going to be Lent, Marchetta, and Slade who will serve the board for the next three years.
